 Best Teething Soother EverNov 23, 2009
I bought a two pack from a local store on impulse. From 5 months to 2 years while he was teething. It helped him learn to grip something... the grip is easy for a 5 month old. When it goes in his mouth, it covers an entire half of his mouth, top and bottom. He chewed and chomped on that thing. And you can fill the groove with some orajel, so you don't have to stick your fingers in their mouths and risk the CHOMP!
Nothing else appealed to my son... no wet washclothes, no iced teething rings... nothing... Just this tooth brush.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE this toothbrush - as does my 13 month old son. I'm one of those people who does way too much research into everything and has to look at EVERY single baby toothbrush and read ALL of the reviews in order to choose what I think is the best. There is another review for this brush here on Amazon that has many positive reviews and after reading what other parents thought I figured I'd give it a go. I decided to leave my review here because of the negative comments that were left. I wanted anyone who reads this to know that it really is a great toothbrush and they can read the other reviews by doing a search for 'baby buddy' in the Amazon search bar.
I started giving this to my son at bedtime when his teeth started coming in (I'd say around 6 mo). He took to it right away and started sucking on it and biting it. He's now 13 months and I just bought a two pack.
The shape of the brush allows all of his teeth; front and back, to get cleaned. Just make sure you keep an eye on it and replace when signs of wear show. When I noticed some of the nubbies missing I purchased more and threw the old ones out. I would definitely recommend this brush to others and plan on using it for a long time to come :-)

This might have worked better if I had not already given my daughter a regular baby toothbrush to use first. I was hoping my daughter would chew on this and clean her front teeth better than she does with a regular toothbrush, but she's just not that interested in it.
With a regular toothbrush she usually just moves it in and out of her mouth without hitting her teeth much. The design of this brush will help clean the front and back of the teeth if it's used properly, there are soft tiny little bristles lining the area where the baby bites down so both the front and back of their teeth will get cleaned as they bite down. I'm guessing if she had never used a regular brush before trying this one she might get the concept of it better but it's hard to say.
