 nice idea but doesn't work very goodMar 30, 2011

this is a nice idea if it was for bigger cords. But even my hair dryer cord wouldn't fit into it. It only works for narrow, short cords. So your computer cords won't work in it. It was also hard to turn. I put the ones I bought in the junk drawer because I don't need a winder for my small cords, they are small. I bought three different types of cord winders and none of them would handle my computer cords. They all only worked on very small cords, so my computer cords are still a mess.

I agree with the other reviewer -- as is, these are only good for smaller cords. I use them on a very long USB cable that I have attached to a printer. Works wonderfully well and I only wish that I could have the some idea ones for my audio/video and other computer equipment.
Two ways to make the product better:
1) make it thicker -- so that wider, flat cords can be wound in it.
2) make it larger -- for longer cords. (I use two on the USB cable.)
This product would be great if these shortcomings were addressed. Especially with audio equipment where getting the right cable length is a pain.
